SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES
DECARBONIZATION
We strongly believe that it is not enough to be carbon neutral; our world needs to achieve meaningful reductions in emissions as soon as possible.
In this regards, we are transitioning to green energy for our captive energy demand. We allocate the maximum use of green energy to fix CO2 and facilitate conversions.
A major part of this transition will be to scale up recycling of materials and maximizing circularity across value chains.
We aim to achieve CO2 capture, storage, and conversion to useful chemicals and materials at competitive costs
As we transition to renewables as our primary source of energy, more syngas will become available for upgradation to high-value chemicals, including Hydrocarbons.
NET-ZERO CARBON
We are committed to embracing new technologies to convert the C02 into useful products and chemicals. We are working hard on substantial progress on photosynthetic biological pathways to convert our CO2 emissions into high-value proteins, nutraceuticals, advanced materials and fuels and we never stop developing brand new carbon capture and storage technologies.
We are also developing future technology to convert transportation fuels to valuable petrochemicals.
And at the same time, we will replace transportation fuels with clean electricity and hydrogen.
HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT
Harbon's endeavor to create a culture of safety, health and environment saw a new light with the implementation for Safety, Health and workplace Environment.
This campaign has garnered enough strength to make safety and health a priority in the workplace and improved occupational safety and health significantly. Our HSE Management System establishes entire-company safety management objectives and processes for improving operational discipline and evolving inherent safety measures for plant operation.
Harbon is also committed to ensuring environmentally sustainable and responsible operations to achieve highest standards of excellence.
